Things have been particularly boring lately, and with no music festivals or new movies to tweet about, people are coming up with new ways to entertain each other on social media. A Twitter user named @MavenofHonor asked Twitter users to share their most mundane celebrity encounters, and some of them are pretty funny. Here are some of the best ones we’ve found, from celebrities meeting other celebrities before they were famous to running into celebrities in odd places.

The original tweet

Now, more than ever, we should share our most mundane celebrity encounters. For example, in 2002 I saw Diane Keaton in the Gap

The time someone tried to outrun Seal at the gym.

Seal got on the treadmill beside mine at the gym. Bowie’s “Changes” came on and he sang along with the entire song. In harmony. While running about twice my speed. Best workout ever. Also do not attempt to outrun Seal.

One time when someone got side-eyed by Jake Gyllenhaal in a coffee shop.

Jake Gyllenhaal walked into a small coffee shop. Asked for an iced coffee, extra ice. Made weird side-eye contact. Left. pic.twitter.com/3REQScOk4U

When someone found out that Danny DeVito is genuinely a nice guy.

In 2015, I saw Danny DeVito outside of LAX looking at his cell phone. As I walked up to him, with my phone in hand, he looked up at me and said “wanna take a selfie with me?” pic.twitter.com/knZZjUNV2X

Andy Milonakis shared the time he ran into Steve Carrell in a grocery store and it was really wholesome.

I saw Steve Carrel at a grocery store and he was shopping by himself. I said “you look really cute today” and he giggled

This girl that caught Justin and Hailey Bieber on a beach picnic.

I was making my ex boyfriend take photos of me on this random beach in Big Sur and Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin were walking by to have a picnic 😂 pic.twitter.com/g4bDzuOCMC

Lin Manuel-Miranda admitted he once was too nervous to talk to Rick Moranis when they attended the same Bar Mitzvah.

Rick Moranis was at my friend Raphie’s bar mitzvah in 1993. We were all too shy to talk to him.

One woman spray painted Sam Elliott’s hair
We even found out that Meryl Streep does her own Apple Store runs

I still remember seeing Meryl Streep at the Apple Store in SoHo, NYC back in 2009. She waited for her turn like everyone else and the world pretty much stopped while she was in there. pic.twitter.com/JFGFbngfOR

…and we learned that Amy Adams also shops at the Rack with the rest of us.

I bumped into Amy Adams shoe shopping at a Nordstrom Rack… We wear the same shoe size and discussed our vacation plans… She’s a ray of sunshine.

Whether or not this one actually happened it’s one of the best on the thread because we can easily picture it.
When Abby Jacobson was just like the rest of us.

I served Rip Torn a coffee once in 2009.

Seth Rogen noticed he was the subject of many of them.

I’m in a shocking amount of these.

…and then sharing his own.

Also once I saw Magic Johnson at a cold stone creamery.

One person ran into Obama and didn’t recognize it.

Did cardio next to Barack Obama at hotel gym in NYC when he was running for POTUS In 2008. Told him if he was thinner he would look like Barack Obama just before I noticed the nearby secret service agents.

Jane Lynch recalled the time she almost ran over Diane Keaton, one of the few good boomers in the world.

This person that managed to catch an elusive George Lucas.

In 2014, I spotted George Lucas checking out Star Wars books at Barns & Noble.
If anyone entered the aisle, he would quickly dash to another one. He moves quickly when avoiding nerds in public. pic.twitter.com/JxWYjcPaKB

When Snoop Dogg proved himself to be a pacifist hero.

I shared an elevator with Snoop Dog and his security guard tried to kill a moth. Snoop said, “Nah man, let it live.” Then we got off the elevator and went our separate ways.

This person that is happy to report that Larry David is exactly who you think he’d be.

My sister has worked for Larry David for a long time. The first time I met him, I shook his hand and asked “How’s it going?”. He answered, “Well, I bought some new socks today.”

Someone who found Brittany Broski in her natural habitat.
…and finally, a humble Bernie Sanders sitting with the rest of us on a commercial flight.
