When you are a founder of a startup company looking to scale your operations, whether that is scouting for soft funding or capital, talents to join your team, or seeking strategic partnerships and obtaining new insights, attending leading tech events can be a fruitful way to fuel your mission.
A new impact report made by IRIS Group on behalf of TechBBQ, Scandinavia’s largest tech and startup event, shows that the summit, hosted late summer annually in Copenhagen, Denmark, drives positive change and innovation, according to its participants.
Some of the key findings from the report include:
- 84 % of the participants expressed satisfaction with the overall atmosphere and experience, and more than 71 % were very satisfied or satisfied with the stage program.
- 82 % of the private companies that attended TechBBQ 2024 agree that the event has already strengthened their network.
- 66 % of the participants believe that it would have been challenging to obtain the same benefits from TechBBQ elsewhere in Denmark.
- 62 % of startups & scaleups agree that TechBBQ has provided them with inspiration on how to enhance their business idea.
- 61 % of the participants consider TechBBQ to be one of the most significant events in Europe for tech entrepreneurship.
We are extremely pleased with and proud of the findings in the evaluation. Our team works tirelessly all year to engage the right stakeholders and improve the overall experience of all our participants. It’s extremely important to us as an organization to ensure that each attendee, whether that is a startup founder, investor, speaker, media, partner or the like, gets the utmost value out of our event as possible,« says Avnit Singh, CEO of TechBBQ, to Grit Daily News.
The evaluation made by IRIS Group clearly supports us in the notion that we, as event organizers, are on the right path. First and foremost, enabling startups and scaleups from the Nordics to achieve their goals in connectivity and funding opportunities so that they can create a better tomorrow for us all with their ground-breaking tech inventions.
Previously, Grit Daily highlighted the top 9 global events that founders should not miss out on, and TechBBQ was ranked third on that list.
One of the strong backers of TechBBQ is the Danish Industry Foundation, which has provided funding for the internationalization and scaling of the event.
The 2025 edition of TechBBQ will take place at Bella Center Copenhagen on August 27 & 28.
