Atlanta, GA – Successful entrepreneur, celebrity publicist, author and motivational speaker Ivan Thomas was honored with the President Joseph R. Biden Lifetime Achievement Award on Thursday (9/29/22) at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
Recognized for his leadership and service in the areas of entrepreneurship, media, youth education, and community and economic development, Thomas received his award among other national and international leaders who have demonstrated excellence in elevating the African Diaspora.
The Award was presented to him during the African and Caribbean International Leadership Conference and Awards Gala, held in collaboration with the 51st United States Congressional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Conference.
“I am extremely honored to be recognized with this award amongst other extraordinary individuals who are committed to uplifting those in need and making the world a better place,” said Thomas, President and CEO of Intrigue Media Group and founder of Defy Gravity International in Atlanta. “I have committed my life to being a leader and a change agent; and while it is amazing to receive this award for my efforts, it is not about me. I want to do more and this is just the beginning.”
Thomas, who has worked for the last 15 years in Public Relations and media, has represented countless entrepreneurs, celebrities and national and foreign leaders. As a successful entrepreneur, motivational speaker and author, Thomas has mentored and supported small business owners, in addition to empowering and educating youth across the United States and abroad through his empowerment programs.
