CAULIPOWER Serves Up a New Slice of the Frozen Aisle With High Protein Personal Pizzas and Bowls

The frozen food aisle is getting a fresh slice of innovation.

CAULIPOWER, the company that helped spark the cauliflower crust pizza boom, is expanding its menu with High Protein, Personal Pizzas, and Single-Serve Bowls, aimed at consumers who want comfort food that delivers both flavor and stronger nutrition.

The launch taps into a growing appetite for freezer meals that combine convenience, clean ingredients, and satisfying protein. For busy shoppers, the appeal is straightforward: meals that feel indulgent while fitting modern eating habits.

A Brand That Changed the Pizza Playbook

When CAULIPOWER introduced its cauliflower crust pizza in 2017, the idea sounded unconventional. Replace traditional dough with vegetables and still deliver the pizza experience people crave.

It worked. The product helped create an entirely new frozen category and positioned CAULIPOWER as a leader in gluten-free pizza. Today, the brand’s products are sold in about 25,000 stores across the United States.

Founder Gail Becker says the new single-serve meals continue that mission.

“We’ve brought together protein, real veggies, and craveable comfort into perfectly portioned meals that actually fit modern life,” Becker said. “This launch is a major step forward in our mission to make better for you food easier, more delicious, and accessible to everyone.”

Personal Pizza With a Protein Boost

The new, small but mighty pizzas deliver the comfort of big pies in a portion designed for one, with protein built directly into the crust.

Each pizza contains:

  • 21 grams of protein
  • 4 grams of fiber
  • 340 calories

The cauliflower crust blends mozzarella, parmesan, and Italian herbs into the base. Two single-serve varieties debut: Cheese Pizza and Margherita Pizza, topped with tomatoes and basil.

Both are tree-nut-free, peanut-free, gluten-free, and contain no preservatives.

The pizzas are currently available through retailers including Hy-Vee and FreshDirect, with additional national distribution underway.

Bowls Designed for Fast, Balanced Meals

CAULIPOWER is also stepping beyond pizza with High Protein Single-Serve Bowls, designed for consumers who want a quick entrée built around real ingredients.

Each bowl includes real chicken, cauliflower rice, and one full cup of vegetables per serving.

Two options anchor the release.

Fajita Veggies and Chicken Bowl delivers 18 grams of protein and 210 calories, combining cauliflower rice, black beans, grilled peppers, cheddar cheese, and shredded chicken in a smoky chipotle sauce.

Cauliflower Rice Risotto and Grilled Chicken Bowl offers 19 grams of protein and 280 calories, a lighter interpretation of risotto built around cauliflower rice and grilled chicken.

The bowls are now available at Sprouts Farmers Market and FreshDirect, with additional retailers expected to follow.

A Power Move in the Freezer Aisle

Frozen food is entering a new phase where convenience meets nutrition. Consumers increasingly expect meals that are fast, satisfying, and aligned with healthier eating goals.

CAULIPOWER’s latest expansion leans directly into that shift, serving up personal pizzas and hearty bowls that prove freezer aisle comfort food can still pack serious power.

For the brand that built its reputation reinventing pizza, this next slice of innovation suggests the story is far from finished.
