Lauren Amos, founder of Wish Atlanta boutique, is teaming up with fashion journalist and StyleZeitgeist founder Eugene Rabkin to launch ANT/DOTE, a multi-brand clothing boutique on Bishop Street on the Westside. Opening in November, the shop will focus on modern, cutting-edge fashion, carrying a range of men’s and women’s clothing from brands not widely available in Atlanta or the Southeast, such as Marine Serre, Mugler, Undercover, Act No. 1, and Hyke. In addition, the shop will carry an edited selection of jewelry, accessories, fragrances, grooming products, and home furnishings, including Cire Trudon candles, Rigards eyewear, and Frederic Malle fragrances.

A self-described “adventurous shopper,” Amos calls ANT/DOTE a store “for fashion fans, by fashion fans.” She says that after more than a year of working from home and living in loungewear, “people want to dress up, they are thirsty for high fashion, and there’s a huge void for that in the Atlanta market.” As the city continues to become a cultural hub for music and film industry professionals and other creatives, she hopes her store will be a haven for fashion devotees who, like her, haven’t been able to find their favorite showroom pieces or designers in local stores.

Housed in a 1950s-era building with a monochromatic facade, the interior—with terrazzo floors, marble fixtures, and accents of white, black, and plum—was designed by American architect Chris Benfield, behind the North American shops for Dior Homme, Rick Owens, and Balenciaga.

According to Amos and Rabkin, Bishop Street’s highway access, central location, and up-and-coming vibe made it an ideal spot for their new store.

“We really wanted to get away from the whole mall shopping culture of Atlanta,” says Rabkin. “Being in a stand-alone building makes it a destination, and we’re doing landscaping to create an outside garden, so it will really be a refuge from the city.”

Starting on September 9, fashion fans can preview and shop a smaller collection of ANT/DOTE goods at a gallery space at 453 Moreland Avenue Northeast, in Little Five Points from Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m.. to 6:00 p.m. by appointment and online 24/7 at antidotestyle.com.
