There are brand named and independent beauty companies. Both sell mascara, blush, eyeliner, lipstick, etc. I have reviewed many band named cosmetics, but would now like to shine the spotlight on some independent cosmetics companies. You know, those makeup brands primarily sold online. So, here are a few of the brands I have tried and enjoyed, and I hope you feel the same way.
- SUGARPILL (www.sugarpill.com) – If you enjoy bright colors you may find this independent makeup company interesting. Sugarpill started in 2010, and has become a leader for products which are very pigmented. They have produced matte primary colors to frosty pastels. In addition to this, Sugarpill produces loose pigments, false, eyelashes and makeup brushes. And even better, Sugarpill is cruelty-free.
- ZOVEA (www.zoevacosmetics.com) – This independent makeup company has become well known for their shades of eyeshadow. Zoeva is also known for luxurious makeup brushes at a low cost. The eyshadow colors range from everyday colors, charming pastels, and four striking, yet powerful colors, which will definitely get you noticed. Their line of their makeup brushes is impeccable. They started their company with cosmetics brushes which are very luxurious at a low cost. The brushes are very soft, low priced and will give you a more professional appearance.
- MELT COSMETICS (www.meltcosmetics.com) – They have not been on the market for long, but their vibrant, matte, lipstick Melt Cosmetics deserves some recognition. The lipsticks have a beautiful, creamy matte finish in a wide varity of colors such as red, black and green. Besides lip color, Melt Cosmetics offers highlighters, eyeliners and eyeshadows. According to some users, the eyeliner is supposed to be long lasting, but it needs a primer. So if you are into vibrant, bright lipstick, Melt Cosmetics is the one for you.
- VIOLET VOSS COSMETICS (www.shopvioletvoss.com) – If you are searching for glitter makeup, you have found it! Not only does Violet Voss make glitter eyeshadow palettes, they make glitter adhesive. Their eyeshadow is extremely pigmented and very easy to blend. It is a simple, good coverage of base colour all over your top lid, up to the brow. Also, there is zero creasing throughout the day. - JUVIA’S PLACE (www.juviasplace.com) – Juvia’s Place is a cosmetics company owned by Nigerian-born Chichi Eburu. She started the brand with the intention of making cosmetics for darker skinned women. It is very well known, and has enriched colored eyeshadow palettes which do not cost an arm and a leg. The cosmetic company has now added to their list of highlighters and lipsticks which should be on your “makeup list”. In addition, Juvia’s place has come out with foundation and concealer. Their highly pigmented eyeshadow palettes, highlighters, and lipsticks is everyone should have a looksee.
- COLOURED RAINE (www.colouredraine.com) – Coloured Raine is an independent, cruelty-free cosmetics company. They are popular for their lip sticks, eyelashes, single eyeshadows and eyeshadow palettes. I love the matte look and the shade. It doesn’t seem to be very dry on the lips in comparison to other matte brands. All of the cosmetics are produced in Los Angeles, California. The production in Los Angeles allows them to oversee the production of their goods. So if you have a pension for color, checkout Coloured Raine.
- BEAUTY BAKERIE (www.beautybakerie.com) – Beauty Bakerie has a motto, “Better, Not Bitter). Their cosmetics have come to be known for a makeup formulary which makes their products neither budge nor transfer. Beauty Bakerie products range from liquid lipsticks, setting powder, and illuminators to eyebrow gel, eyeshadows, and eyeliners. And these, Beauty Bakerie products are cruelty-free.
These are the independent cosmetics I have come to truly like. The way they do not budge after you put them on, is fantastic. And, these cosmetic companies only use high-quality ingredients in their products.
